We were fortunate this summer to get to take a trip back to the Midwest to visit my parents and the kids grandparents. Our trip overlapped with my sister’s and all of the cousins got to spend some time together. It nice to have all of the kids together doing what kids do best…being kids and goofing around.
They all love going to their Gee and Gramps’s house to spend time with them. A lot of fun was had by everyone. Long overdue hugs were shared.
Root beer floats were gobbled up as fast they were made. Everyone was watered logged from many hours of swimming and splashing trying to beat the heat.
Art projects were created.
Many games of wiffle ball were played.
A birthday was celebrated and cupcakes decorated with lots of sprinkles.
A kids festival with out of this world face painting, sitting on police motorcycles, and even horses to pet.
But what I think I enjoyed most of all, was just kicking back and enjoying those lazy days of summer.
Watching the kids do what they do best…goofing and being kids.
Hope you’re enjoying your last days of summer.
