Summer is the time for heading out doors, relaxing, and for lots of grilling. In our house, we love to grill. We love grilling so much that you will find us even grilling when it’s snowing outside. Yes, we are one of those families that just love a good grilled hamburger, BBQ chicken or ribs. However, one of our family favorites is grilled corn. Even though I hate to admit it, we love corn so much that we had a few arguments over who gets the remaining ears. We have learned now to always buy extra. We have learned though through much trial and error how to make the perfect grilled corn. I hope you enjoy this little secret to the perfect Summer Grilled Corn as much as my family does.
Here’s What You Need:
- 5 Gallon Bucket
- 1 Cup of Sugar
Leave the corn in the husk. Fill the 5 gallon bucket of water 3/4 of the way full. Pour 1 Cup of sugar into the water. Mix this up with a large spoon. Add the ears of corn to the bucket. Place a bowl on top to keep all of the ears submerged in the water/sugar mixture. Let the corn soak for 1 hour at least. Remove the ears of corn and shake off the excess water. Place the ears of corn on the grill and grill for about 7 to 10 minutes.
Just peel back the husk and eat it if you like it plain. OR you can add Parmesan cheese and melted butter which makes the corn even more mouth watering. This makes the perfect grilled corn for any BBQ, party, or for just dinner time.
