Free Christmas Ornament Coloring Page

Free-Christmas-Ornament-Coloring-Page-Artzy Creations

Lately, I’ve really gotten into creating coloring pages.  I’ve been an art teacher now for over eighteen years and have always loved drawing.  Both of my daughters have a great love for drawing too.  Sometimes, when I couldn’t find just the right coloring pages for the girls, I would create my own for them.  So, this Free Christmas Ornament Coloring Page was actually a special request by my oldest daughter who wanted some pretty ornaments to color in. Now, I’m sharing it with all of you!  If you haven’t tried coloring a coloring page in awhile, (which I admit, I hadn’t done in a long time before I started creating these), you’re in for a real treat.  Coloring pages are actually very relaxing and give your busy mind a chance to unwind just a little bit.  So, why not give it shot and see what you think!

Free-Christmas-Ornament-Coloring-Page-01-Artzy Creations   This is a great coloring page to keep the kiddos occupied over the upcoming Holiday break.  Use crayons, colored pencils or markers… take your pick.  You and your kids will love it! Don’t forget to print a page off for yourself and sit down with a nice cup of coffee or tea.  Or join your kids and make it a fun family activity where you all spend some time together, coloring.

Until then, you can follow me for more craftiness fun at Artzy Creations or on FacebookInstagramPinterest,Twitter, and Google +.

Do you need a quick Holiday decoration?  Are you looking for a really cute gift idea?  This quick and simple 5 Minute Mason Jar Christmas Decor combines the best of these two ideas.  Not only does this project make for a quick and simple Christmas decor but it is also beyond cute.  If you really wanted to, you could give it away, but I don’t think I will be parting with mine.  I have a slight obsession with Mason Jars and this one is too cute.  Let me show you just how easy it is to create this very simple project.  Let’s get started!

5-Min 2

Supplies Needed:

  • Soft Snow
  • Little Christmas Tree
  • Mason Jar with Chain Lid (These can be found at Michael’s)
  • Hot Glue
  • Hot Glue Gun

Step 1:  Hot glue the tree to the inside bottom of your mason jar.

Step 2:  Fill with a fair amount of Soft Snow and hang!

Yup, it’s really that simple.  You could have a couple of these hanging in a large window, one on either side of a fire place, or perhaps several hanging from a tree.  The possibilities are just endless.

DIY Joy Sign

DIY-Joy-Sign-Artzy Creations

Making Christmas decorations for the house is one of my favorite things to do during this time of year.  I try to make a least one keepsake each year that the entire family will be able to enjoy.  This project blew me out of the water with how well it came together.  It looks like you could easily spend $20-$30 dollars on this sign if you were to buy it at a one of those cute little boutique stores. I love how light & versatile these wood panels are, and if you’ve never tried using one before, I highly recommend it.  The other thing that I had never used before was the Stickles.  Stickles is glitter glue that is used to embellish paper products.  The glitter comes out really easy and its very simple to use.

Here’s What You Need:

  • Wood Canvas Panel 12″ x 12″
  • Joy Scrapbook Paper by My Mind’s Eye
  • Branches Paper by My Mind’s Eye
  • Mod Podge
  • Stickles (Christmas Red, Waterfall, Lime Green, and Diamond)
  • Foam Brush
  • Brick Red Acrylic Paint
  • X-acto Knife
  • Sheer Red Ribbon (Optional)
  • Jingle Bell (Optional)

Step 1:  Trim the “Joy” scrapbook paper to a little bit smaller than the 12 x 12 dimensions.  I just took a little bit off each side.

Step 2:  Cut 4 pieces of the “Branches” paper just a little shy of 3/4″ x 12″.

Step 3:  Using a foam brush, apply Mod Podge to the wood canvas.  Apply the paper evenly on the sides, as well as the front. Smooth out any bubbles that you might have and let this dry.

Step 4:  Taking the foam paint brush or small sponge, apply the brick red paint around the entire edge of the front of the sign.  You will repeat this for all four sides of the canvas as well.

These are what the Stickles look like if you’ve never seen them before.  So fun!

Step 5:  Embellish the wreath and berries with the Stickles.

Step 6:  Attach the red bow with a jingle bell for an extra added touch.  Done!

I love how festive this turned out and the touch of sparkle that’s been added to the wreath by the Stickles.  I also loved the sketchbook paper for the warm Holiday feel that it adds.

Have fun making this holiday keepsake and…
