Mason Jar Santa

Here’s another fun craft for you.  I know what you’re thinking!  More Christmas crafts and it’s not even Thanksgiving.  I’m sorry.  It’s just when you have two kids they start getting really excited for the Holidays and it doesn’t help that our tree is already up because that’s what you do when you are a blogger.  Needless to say, my kids have Santa on the brain already.  I thought with all the cute Mason Jar crafts out there, my girls needed to have a Santa in the house.  This is fun and easy to make. This would also be cute just to give away. The best part is you just need a few simple items.

Here’s What You Need:

  • (1) Mason Jar (Jelly Size)
  • Red, Pink and White Felt
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Glue
  • Fiber Fill
  • (1) Pom Pom

1.) Cut a red piece of felt so it is wide and long enough to wrap around the Mason Jar.  Trim the excess off the top.

2.) Glue in place.

3.) Cut a piece of red felt that is 6″ in width and long enough to overlap in the back for the hat.  Pinch the top together with your fingers.  If there’s too much bulk, trim a little from the inside of the hat.  Hot glue the top together.

4.) Pull the hat down to the side and hot glue in place.  Hot glue the pom pom in place too.

5.) Cut a rectangle pink/peach piece of felt and glue in place.

6.) Cut a thin piece of white felt for the trim of Santa’s hat.  Hot glue it in place.

7.) Take some fiber fill and place it on Santa’s face and shape it to look like a beard.  Hot glue it in place.

8.) Cut out the eyebrows and mouth and glue those in place as well.

9.) Use a Sharpie marker to create the eyes.
