I have a slight obsession with Washi tape. I love how colorful it is and all the various patterns and prints that it comes in. So, I needed a relatively simple and easy solution to organize my growing mass amounts of Washi tape. I basically threw this together with items that I found in my craft room. It’s that easy.
- 3/8” or ½” Dowel Rods
- Wood Slice
- ½” Drill Bit
- Wood Glue
Step 1: Mark the areas for the dowel rods taking into consideration the spacing for the Washi tape rolls and space in between the stacked rolls.
Step 2: Drill the holes for the dowel rods making sure to drill into the piece of wood as straight up and down as possible. If you’re off at a little angle after drilling, go back and straighten the hole up. Also make sure that you don’t over ream the drill hole because you want the rod to be as tight as possible before gluing.
Step 3: Glue the dowel rods in place.
Step 4: Let the glue dry.
There you have it! So simple and easy. There are so many possibilities to this simple Washi tape holders. Enjoy your simple and easy DIY Washi Tape Holder.
