I don’t know about you, but it seems like I’m always looking for new ways to create cute Valentine’s gifts for my kiddos classmates.  Plus, my oldest likes it when we make something different than the year before.  Here is a really easy and cute idea for Valentine’s Day that is a great last minute idea too.

Here’s What You Need:

  • Jelly Hearts
  • Skewers
  • Kitchen Scissors
  • Different Colored Paper
  • Hot Glue Gun

Jelly Hearts

Here are the Jelly Hearts that I used.  I found these at Walmart.

Hearts on SkewerStep 1:

Put jelly hearts onto the skewer.  Wipe the tip clean with a damp paper towel and trim the tip with kitchen scissors.

Colored Paper

Step 2:

Pick out a variety of colored paper for the arrow tips and feathers.

Tail to the Arrow

Step 3:

Make a shape like this for the tail of the arrow and cut each side to create the feathered look.  Cut a triangle for the tip.  Attach to the end of the skewers with the hot glue gun.  Let the arrows cool.  I put the arrows in cellophane bags and tied them with cute Valentine’s Day ribbon so my daughter could distribute them to her classmates.
